Summer Pootle Day 12: Godmanchester

St Ives - Godmanchester

On the move again today, we made our way from St Ives, through Hemingford, Houghton and Godmanchester locks. On the way we stopped to empty the Elsan toilet at Hartford Marina. There are so few places to dispose of sewage on the Ouse, but at Hartford they were friendly and happy to let us use it for the price of a RNLI donation. For reference there's a pump out too but I didn't see the price.

We are now moored on the lovely visitor moorings at Godmanchester, round the back of the lock and down a little cut. It's a nice spot and Lyra has been making friends with passers by. We went for a little walk around the village and it is very picturesque!

  1. I got some old RYA charts from there for the price of an RNLI donation as well. Good place. ps. I wasn't using them for actual navigation!
