Normally, the flow of the river brings bits of rubbish, old bags and plastic bottles which get lodged between our boat and the bank. Today it was a bunch of beautiful orange roses.
It made me wonder what the story was behind this. Did a jilted lover throw them in, following a fit of rage? That would make them deliberately thrown waterbourne debris - jetsam.Or more likely they just fell from someone's bag making them merely flotsam.
...maybe there was a boat-top wedding...it's fun to think of how they might have come there...
